OnlineResume
A résumé site run from one data file, with five templates to wear it in and project stats pulled live from GitHub.
Built by Deepesh Kumar
The problem
A résumé site usually means one fixed design: changing the look means rewriting it, and the project numbers on it go stale the day you publish.
What I built
A responsive résumé and portfolio site in Next.js 14. Everything about you lives in one file, src/data/resume.ts, and every template renders from it.
Five templates ship with it: classic, editorial, spotlight, terminal and bento. Pick one with an environment variable, or let visitors switch with a floating template picker.
How it works
- 01 · Write
Edit one data file with your experience, skills and projects.
- 02 · Fetch
Project cards pull stars, forks, open issues, descriptions and topics straight from the GitHub API.
- 03 · Filter
Click a skill and the projects that use it are shown.
- 04 · Switch
NEXT_PUBLIC_TEMPLATE picks the template served at /, any template can be previewed at /templates/<name>, and the floating picker switches them live.
- 05 · Extend
A new template is one component that takes the résumé data, registered in two files.
