Part no. DP-01 · Tax Consulting South Africa · The document press
Document Press
An AI document-intelligence platform: a thick stack of regulation goes in, one plain-English summary comes out.
Built by Deepesh Kumar at Tax Consulting South Africa
The problem
A tax and expat advisory firm has to keep up with new legislation. The documents are long, dense and written for lawyers, and someone has to read each one and explain it in plain English.
Around that sits the usual office glue: email, calendars, messages and repos that people move between by hand.
What I built
An AI document-intelligence platform that turns regulatory documents into plain-English summaries and files them where the firm already works: SharePoint and WordPress.
Event-driven workflows on Microsoft Graph, Twilio, GitHub APIs, PostgreSQL and Azure, used across a firm of 250+ people.
Multi-LLM brand-visibility monitoring: how often, and how high, major AI models mention the firm, reported weekly.
How it works
- 01 · Watch
A scheduled job checks for newly published regulation and flags the documents that matter to the firm.
- 02 · Press
Long PDFs are rewritten by language models into short plain-English summaries.
- 03 · File
Finished summaries go out as Word reports to SharePoint and as posts to WordPress. A dashboard shows where each document is.
- 04 · Monitor
Brand mentions and rankings across AI models are collected on a schedule and reported weekly.
Results
- Contributed to a 21% rise in brand visibility across major AI models in 4 months.
- In production for a firm of 250+ people.
- One of many internal systems I've shipped end-to-end at the firm since September 2025.
